F&A Academy of Pet Stylist was founded by Mr Alex Ang, a Master Groomer, International Grooming Judge and Speaker with over 30 years of professional experience in the pet grooming industry.

Unlike some training programs that rely on fake dog mannequins, our students gain real grooming experience that prepares them for professional grooming work.
BEGINNER FRIENDLY TRAINING
Our grooming courses are designed for fresh students with no grooming experience.
Training begins with the fundamentals of grooming and gradually progresses to professional techniques through guided hands-on practice.

our training program combines real live dog grooming practice with mannequin training to ensure students develop both practical handling skills and technical grooming precision.
Students will primarily train with real live model dogs, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in a realistic grooming environment. Working with live dogs helps students learn proper dog handling techniques, understand different coat types, and build confidence when grooming pets with different temperaments.
To further strengthen students’ scissoring skills and styling techniques, grooming mannequin models (fake dogs) may also be used during certain training sessions. Mannequin training allows students to focus on understanding the correct grooming outline, body structure, and overall balance of scissor work without the movement of a live dog.
This structured training approach helps students develop accuracy, symmetry, and scissoring control, which are essential skills for professional grooming.
